Le Royaume-Uni est un archipel d’europe de l’ouest, située entre l’océan Atlantique, la mer du Nord, la Manche et la mer d’Irlande. Ce pays est né en 1707, lorsque les royaumes d’Angleterre et d’Écosse s’unifièrent pour former le royaume de Grande-Bretagne, qui s’agrandit en 1801 en s’unifiant avec le Royaume d’Irlande pour former le Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d’Irlande.
The United Kingdom is an archipel of Western Europe situated between the Atlantic ocean, the North sea, the Channel and the Irish sea. This country is born in 1707 when the kingdoms of England and Scotland got united to form the « Great Britain ». It enlarged in 1801 when Ireland joined them in forming « the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. »
Le Royaume-Uni est le 80eme plus grand pays du monde, et le 11eme d’Europe par sa superficie. Il est le 22eme pays le plus peuplé du monde.
The United Kingdom is the 80th largest country in the world and the 11th biggest in Europe by its size. It is the 22nd country with the most population in the world.
Les îles Britanniques sont composées en quatre nations constitutives (l’Angleterre, l’Écosse, le Pays de Galles et l’Irlande du Nord ), chacune avec des pouvoirs variés et une capitale chacune. Londres pour l’Angleterre, Edimbourg pour l’Ecosse, Belfast pour l’Irlande du Nord et Cardiff pour le Pays de Galles. De même, chacun des quatre pays ont eux-même un drapeau en plus de celui du Royaume-Uni, une langue régionale et une hymne. Le Pays de Galles, l’Ecosse, l’Irlande ainsi que la Cornuaille à la pointe de l’Angleterre sont, tout comme la Bretagne, des pays de culture celtique.
The British Isles are composed of four constitutives nations (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) each of them with a different politic and capital. London for England, Edinburgh for Scotland, Belfast for Northern Ireland, Cardiff for Wales. Moreover, each of these countries have their own flag in addition of the UK flag, a regional language (still common nowadays!!) and an Hymn ! Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and Cornwall (at the extreme end of south England) and they are (like Britanny in France) countries with a celtic background.
